Biography:
Zeth was born on Nelvaan, but his parents were killed by Inquisitors who sensed the baby's Force-signature and came to take him to the Emperor. The infant was quickly rescued from this fate by the Ghost Crew rebels, which at the time, included young Maja.
Though Maja formed a quick attachment to the now orphaned infant, it did not seem likely that she would be able to keep him, due to the dangers the crew usually faced as rebels. Furthermore, the constant attention a baby required and his midnight fussing put crew member Garazeb Orrelios at a short temper with the infant, leading him to continuously butt-heads with Maja regarding the matter. Yet, when another Inquisitor attack drew Maja away in attempts to aid her friends, Zeb found himself the child's sole protector. The time spent trying to keep the baby safe, coupled by his apparent like for Zeb, eventually gave Zeb a soft spot for the little one. Later, these feelings were cemented when Maja announced that she would be naming the baby in Zeb's honor! At the same time, the Ghost Crew agreed to let Maja keep the baby, since there was nowhere safer for him than with them while the Inquisitors were still around.
From that time, Maja kept Zeth with her on the Ghost, occasionally leaving him in the care of someone on the ship, or at base with a female member of Phoenix Squadron who was willing to babysit. Thankfully, Zeth was very easily entertained and did not take to wandering.
During the events of A New Hope, Maja was not actively engaged in the heat of battle and was thus able to keep Zeth with her more consistently. Also around this time, Zeth began to talk a little. Being called "Mama" led to a humorous misunderstanding between Maja and her love interest, Luke Skywalker, during their reunion; when the latter briefly assumed that Maja had gotten married. Nevertheless, the moment was an important milestone in the life of this soon-to-be family: Zeth had met his future master and adoptive father for the first time!
Years later, immediately following the fall of The Empire, Zeth and a young twi-lek girl named Lyne became the first padawans in Luke's new Jedi Order. Lyne would also later become Zeth's future wife.

Zeb's Thing, or simply Zeth, is a Force-sensitive male Nelvaanian that Maja adopted and raised from babyhood, and later became one of the first Knights in the new Jedi Order. He was named in honor of Garazeb Orrelios.
